Michael J. O'Foghludha

Mike O’Foghludha helps people who have been injured on the job or by the negligence of others. He prosecuted the only successful civil suit in North Carolina for an injury that occurred during a soccer match. While not every case he handles is that unusual, what every client of his can expect is thorough, considerate, compassionate representation. Mike has a knack for efficiently assessing the merits of a case and pinpointing the most effective way to navigate it toward a favorable outcome. His approach grew out of his years as a public defender and has been honed in his tenure helping clients with Pulley Watson.
Well schooled and well read, Mike studied at Oxford University and Universite d’Aix Marsielle during his Duke University undergraduate degree program, and graduated from the University of North Carolina Law School near the top of his class, receiving honors in moot court and estate/probate law.
Mike has served as an officer of the Durham County Bar Association, the Grievance Committee and Medical-Legal Committee of the North Carolina State Bar, as well as on Education, Publications and Legislative Committees for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Council for Senior Citizens, a former Board Member of Habitat of Humanity, and a former Public Member of the North Carolina Low Level Radioactive Waste Authority. When he’s not at work, or doing committee work, you’ll find him active in local theater or serving as a YMCA youth coach.
